If becoming an electrician is on your career wish list, this is one opportunity worth switching on to. BGT Jobs & Training is partnering with Mars Ballarat to find an Electrical Apprentice ready to begin their trade in one of Ballarat’s best-known manufacturing environments.

This isn’t your average workplace. Behind the production of some of Australia’s favourite treats is a sophisticated network of electrical systems, machinery and technology — and over the next three years, you’ll learn how to help keep it all running.

Working alongside experienced electricians and technicians, you’ll gain hands-on experience maintaining, troubleshooting and improving electrical systems while completing your Certificate III in Electrotechnology (Electrician) through BGT.

Learn your trade in the real world

You’ll combine structured, nationally recognised training with practical experience inside a major manufacturing operation.

You’ll learn how electrical systems work in a busy production environment, how faults are identified and solved, and how preventative maintenance helps keep equipment operating safely and reliably.

Most importantly, you’ll be learning from experienced people while developing the practical skills and confidence you’ll carry throughout your career.

Could this be you?

You don’t need to know everything on day one. You do need to be keen to learn.

We’re looking for someone who:

• has a genuine interest in electrical work and wants to build a career in the trade
• enjoys learning and developing new skills
• communicates well and enjoys being part of a team
• can also work independently when required
• can follow instructions, prioritise tasks and show initiative
• takes pride in doing things properly
• understands that safety and quality are non-negotiable.

Experience in a manufacturing or maintenance environment would be an advantage, but it’s not essential.
